Container Tracking Antenna with LTE GNSS LoRa and Bluetooth

2026-09-11

The DC300 V1921-002-A-01 container tracking antenna combines four RF functions: 4G LTE connectivity, GNSS reception, LoRa and Bluetooth. It is intended for asset tracking equipment that needs a wide-area connection, a location feed and local wireless links within a compact installation.

Key specifications and selection criteria

Assign each radio a clear role

LTE can carry tracking data to a remote platform, while GNSS provides satellite signals to the positioning receiver. The LoRa path can connect compatible local telemetry devices, and Bluetooth can support short-range interaction. These are antenna functions: the tracker still requires the corresponding radios, firmware and network services.

Check the LoRa band before choosing a tracker antenna

This configuration specifies 470–510 MHz for LoRa. It should not be described as an 868 MHz or 915 MHz LoRa antenna. Start with the deployment country’s permitted radio configuration and the transceiver’s frequency, then request an appropriate antenna version if a different range is required.

Antenna placement on a metal container

A steel container can obstruct both cellular and GNSS reception. Assess the complete tracker position, nearby metal and the available sky view. Compare reception with the installation in its operating configuration, and check cable exits and sealing. Test simultaneous LTE transmission and GNSS reception to assess coexistence before approving the design.

Frequently asked questions

Does DC300 include a tracking modem?

This article describes the antenna assembly. Position calculation, wireless communication and cloud reporting require the connected tracker electronics.

Can it work inside a closed steel container?

Performance depends on the installation. A location with severe metal shielding may require moving the antenna or using an external arrangement.
