Weather conditions can also affect signal attenuation. Rain, snow, and fog can absorb or scatter the radio waves, reducing the signal strength. Heavy precipitation can cause significant signal loss, making it difficult for the antenna to receive a clear signal.
The quality and design of the antenna itself can impact signal attenuation. A poorly designed or damaged antenna may not be able to pick up signals as effectively as a well-designed one. Antenna placement on the car also matters, as certain locations may be more susceptible to interference or have poorer signal reception.
